The Brazilian whiteknee is one of those tarantulas that makes people stop scrolling. Even folks who do not keep spiders usually get it once they see one. The contrast is the whole trick: dark, heavy legs with those clean white bands that look almost painted on. Acanthoscurria geniculata comes from the Amazon basin in northern Brazil, and it carries that rainforest look well\u2014big, bold, and impossible to ignore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
